Who needs a life coach? Well, the short answer is-you.
In fact us. At some point or another we can all use a coach.
Now, you may be thinking that life coaching is some kind of airy BS made up by people to create a job for themselves. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth.
Coaches have been around as long as there have been people.
They used to called mentors or elders or wise women. They were the people who taught us how to hunt or plant, how to birth babies or animals, how to advance spiritually or politically.
They were the people who had knowledge and transmitted it on to the next generation.
In the 2oth century, coaching was most often seen in the field of athletics and each sport had their own coach. Hockey, baseball, tennis, curling or swimming – if there was a sport there was a coach and now even more so.
Toward the end of the 20th century, coaches began to pop up in other areas: business, relationships, health and nutrition. In addition to those, there was the rise of the life coach, each of whom offered skills in the various areas of life from job hunting to decision making,
In effect, if there is an area in your life where you are stuck, a coach may be your best solution.
